MICRO GRIDS

Updated 12/13/22

Tuesday November 19, 2019 11:22 AM CST -- KDX Participates in Panel On Micro Grids
Under discussion is the concept of augmenting our present day large area power grid with localized "micro grids" which would increase power independence for segments of population. We do not intend to print full minutes of ongoing collaborations however The Blare Blog will post high points of findings and conclusions.

History of This Page
At its inception this page of the kdxradio.com website was to be a log of progress in building a solar power generating facility as an energy source for KDX Worldround Radio, as described in these original remarks:
Upon this 15th day of July, 2008, we are pleased to announce entry by KDX Worldround Radio into the emerging field of solar and ambient energy. As of this time the first project has been initiated through a $5 grant to Home School College and will consist of a 15 watt solar collector system providing free voltage to our KDX microtransmitter operating at 1680 KHz AM with 1/10th of a watt into the final output, providing streaming radio throughout the Internet Building and campus in Average Terrain Park, home of KDX. Design engineering predictions indicate that surplus voltage will also power a cooling fan and area lamp.
Upon successful completion of phase one, the second tier of this venture will produce 1,000 watts powering the KDX radio program workstation and related equipment. After that point we will probably be experts and, if there's anything left of the modern world, we'll go for bigger power until that day of independence from the grid.

After almost a year from opening this project, information is arriving at the door. Here may be our first project description.
